Despite the cold weather and long wait, the crowd of tens of thousands went wild for Kamala Harris as she took the stage in Philadelphia.

The Democratic presidential candidate makes one of her final pleas to voters.

“Our campaign tapped into the ambitions, the aspirations and the dreams of the American people,” she told her supporters.

“It is time for a new generation of leadership in America.”

However, she says the “race isn’t over yet” and this could be one of the “closest races in history.”

“You determine the outcome of this election in Pennsylvania,” she added.

“Make no mistake, we will win.”

Chants of “we will win” erupt in the crowd, but some people choose to leave the audience instead.

“America is ready for a new start, ready for a new way forward,” said Ms. Harris.

“I will work on my to-do lists on your behalf every day.”

She outlines a range of policies, including tax cuts for working families, lower health care costs, reducing the cost of living and securing the right to abortion.

Her famous campaign slogan “we’re not going back” rings out through Eakins Oval.

“I don’t want to score political points, I want to make progress,” she says.

“I promise to always put country before path and self and be a president for all Americans.”

She ends her speech by telling the crowd that her campaign should end with optimism and joy.

“We can overcome any challenge we face if we do it together,” she says.

“Our people-powered movement reflects a simple truth: that we are all in this together.”

The crowd erupts in applause as Ms. Harris’ signature song Freedom by Beyonce plays.
