TWO people have been charged over a number of shoplifting incidents in Dudley.

Thomas Wagner, aged 36, from Dudley, has been charged with six shoplifting offenses in Dudley, Kingswinford, Amblecote and Wordsley.

The incidents took place in June, September and October.

Chelsea Davies, aged 31, also from Dudley, has been charged with three shoplifting incidents in Kingswinford, Wordsley and Brierley Hill in September and October.

Both have been remanded in custody to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, October 30).

Sergeant Jess Impey, from Lye and Amblecote Neighborhood Team, said: “Shoplifting is a scourge on our stores, especially those that are regularly targeted by repeat offenders.

“We fully understand the impact and frustration on businesses and routinely carry out regular high visibility patrols in shopping areas, along with other activities, to identify and catch offenders.”

Anyone who sees anything suspicious is asked to report it to police by calling 101.
