Donald Trump will hold a rally in Greensboro on Saturday

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) – Former President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Greensboro on Saturday, according to a statement released by the Trump/Vance campaign on Wednesday afternoon.

The meeting will be held at the First Horizon Coliseum at 1921 W. Gate City Blvd. at 7:30 PM The doors open at 3:30 PM

Trump recently spoke in Rocky Mount, where he advocated for one-day voting.

“We used to vote in one day,” Trump told a packed room, nearly two weeks after North Carolina’s crucial early voting period and less than a week after Election Day.

Standing in front of a blue banner that read “Vote Early,” the Republican presidential candidate argued that one day of voting reduced the risk of ballot misuse.

Trump outlined a scenario in which election office workers would have to move boxes of early ballots, mockingly impersonating anonymous election workers by saying, “There were 14 boxes. Now there are six. What happened to the rest?”

Trump’s campaign is promoting early voting, as the banner suggested, because the campaign has argued that Trump must compete within the current electoral structure to win.

The suggestion that more than one day of voting could corrupt the results was consistent with Trump’s continued and baseless suggestion that the 2020 election, which he lost to Democratic President Joe Biden, was marred by widespread fraud.
