Billionaires who have that homes in Palm Beach have reached into their deeper pockets to support former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential ambitions, data show in a newly updated release. article published by Forbes.com.

A Palm Beach Daily News analysis of political donations reported by Forbes shows that at least six billionaires with residential ties to the island are backing their neighbor Trump’s bid as the Republican candidate for the White House.

Democrat Harris has received the support of at least four other billionaires who own homes in Palm Beach.

The Palm Beach names are among at least 83 billionaires across the country who support Harris, compared to the 52 U.S. billionaires who have thrown their support behind Trump, according to Forbes.

Of the 26 US billionaires Forbes identified as having donated “at least $1 million to Trump’s election efforts” through August, at least three have a Palm Beach residence: real estate magnate Richard Kurtz; casino-and-resort magnate Steve Wynn; and New York Jets owner and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom Robert “Woody” Johnson IV of the Johnson & Johnson fortune.

Another 16 US billionaires gave between $50,000 and $999,999 “to Trump-supporting groups” through August, according to Forbes, and three of them have homes in Palm Beach: financiers John Paulson of Paulson & Co. And Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone; And car dealer magnate Terry Taylor.

Forbes also identified other billionaires with ties to Palm Beach as “known Trump supporters,” but made no mention of the funds they contributed. Among them were homeowners from Palm Beach Isaac Perlmutter, who made much of his fortune through Marvel Entertainment; And Digital brokerage pioneer Thomas Peterffy. Forbes attributed Perlmutter and Peterffy’s support for Trump to “media reports and Bloomberg’s analysis of public election data.”

The New Yorker was also quoted in the Forbes article Nelson Peltz of Trian Partnersa longtime Palm Beach homeowner, organized a fundraiser for Trump in February. “Peltz has not commented publicly since Biden ceded to Harris, and his wealth manager at Trian Partners did not return a request for comment,” Forbes reported.

Palm Beach billionaire real estate owner Ken Griffin of Citadel LLC hedge fund and Citadel Securities was also mentioned in the Forbes article. Griffin, who has a record of making significant donations to Republican campaigns, has “confirmed” that he did not financially support Trump’s 2024 presidential run, according to Forbes.

Support from Palm Beach billionaires for Harris

Real estate magnate Neil Bluhm And Tampa Bay Buccaneers co-owner Avram Glazerwho both have homes in Palm Beach, have each donated $1 million “to groups supporting Harris through August,” according to the Forbes article, which identified 28 U.S. billionaires who had made donations of at least $1 million.

Palm Beach billionaires who gave between $50,000 and $999,999 in donations to support Harris during the same period include Jonathan Tisch of Loews Corp.; And Kathy Rayner of Cox Mediawhich for years owned the Palm Beach Daily News and The Palm Beach Post. In total, Harris received financial support from 36 American billionaires in the same category of dollar donations.
