East Hartford man found guilty of sexual abuse of a minor

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – An East Hartford man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a minor.

On October 18, Aaron Fullerton, 48, was found guilty of two counts of second-degree sexual assault and four counts of risk of injury to a minor by unlawful sexual contact. He was also found guilty of two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Fullerton’s guilty verdict was announced Monday by Hartford Judicial Circuit state attorney Shaarmese Walcott.

Walcott said that according to evidence presented at trial, Fullerton sexually abused the child over a four-month period in 2020-2021.

Walcott stated that the victim disclosed the abuse to her mother, whose actions put an end to the abuse.

Fullerton was arrested on an outstanding warrant following an investigation by East Hartford Police.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 17, 2025 in Hartford Superior Court.
