South Moorhead home severely damaged by morning fire; No injuries | The mighty 790 KFGO

MOORHEAD – (KFGO) – A fire caused extensive damage to a home at 920 16th Street South in Moorhead. The fire was reported on Wednesday just before 3 a.m. The house is located about a block south of the MSUM campus.

Fire Battalion Chief Matt Brand says the homeowner woke up to a fire in the back of the house. He and his wife quickly evacuated, but the fire spread to the attic and when fire crews arrived, fire was pouring through the roof.

Firefighters managed to get inside, douse the fire and quickly extinguish the flames. The damage is extensive and the cause has not been determined.

There were no reports of any injuries.
