Water main break closes lanes on Highway 101 in Boyle Heights – NBC Los Angeles

According to the California Highway Patrol, part of Highway 101 in Boyle Heights was closed due to a water main break.

The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. near the Fourth Street exit. A water main break occurred at the intersection of Boyle and Second streets, causing that portion of the highway to flood.

Authorities have issued a SigAlert to close the highway in both directions south for an indefinite period. However, they opened the northbound lanes shortly before 4:30 a.m

Motorists are advised to avoid the area or seek alternative routes.
