Justin Timberlake postpones six tour stops due to illness

Will this ruin the tour too? Justin Timberlake postponed six shows on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour to recover from bronchitis and laryngitis.

The former NSYNC frontman said Tuesday that he wasn’t feeling well during the last few stops of the tour. Dual respiratory infections forced him to postpone several Midwest appearances he had scheduled for Wednesday and early November into the New Year.

“I’m sorry to say this, but I have to postpone several more performances from October 23 to December 2,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for understanding – I will make it up to you.”

The 10-time Grammy winner was scheduled to perform in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday, but announced a day earlier that he would not appear. He rescheduled the show for February 27, with stops in Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and St. Paul, Minnesota have also been postponed to February 2025.

Timberlake is currently planning to resume the tour on November 8 with a show in Sunrise, Florida.

Earlier this month, the “Can’t Stop the Feeling” hitmaker abruptly canceled a concert in Newark, New Jersey due to an injury that he said was “preventing (him) from performing.”

Posting an apology about an hour before the show began, the “Selfish” and “Cry Me a River” singer said he was disappointed he didn’t meet his fans, but is working to reschedule the show as soon as possible. He did not reveal details of the injury, but postponed the concert from October 8 to October 15.

Timberlake released his sixth studio album, “Everything I Thought It Was,” in March, and embarked on the Forget Tomorrow world tour in April to promote it. He played the Kia Forum in Inglewood in May and will return to California in January for shows in Sacramento, Anaheim and Palm Desert.

The programs also continued after his DWI arrest in the Hamptons in June after he allegedly failed to obey a stop sign or stay in his lane while leaving a late lunch. Timberlake pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of driving under the influence, had his driving privileges suspended, and in September was sentenced to 25 hours of community service at a nonprofit organization of his choice. He was also required to publish a public safety statement on the dangers of drinking and driving.

Days after the verdict, “The Social Network” star announced the addition of several shows to her 2025 tour, including three stops in California. After rescheduled shows in the Midwest, he will embark on an overseas tour to South America, Europe and the UK, with performances scheduled for July 20, when he will headline Lollapalooza Paris.
