Tickets for November’s Nicer Tuesdays in New York are now available!

New Yorkers! We’ll be knocking on your door once again for our final statewide edition of Nicer Tuesdays in 2024. Fall is here and there’s no better way to say goodbye to cold nights than to hunker down inside with some creative inspiration and a drink (or two).

This time we host Mirek Nisenbaum from Base Design, who will talk about website design, as well as the famous documentary and portrait photographer Fumi Nagasaka and illustrator Richard A Chance, who will talk about how he deals with the editorial brief. Finally, designer and programmer Talia Cotton will meet with Elizabeth Goodspeed for a Q&A that will cover technology, leaving Pentagram and deciding to start her own venture, Cotton.

Renowned paper makers GF Smith will take over the walls of Williamsburg’s Music Hall to showcase the work of emerging design students from Manchester School of Art, one of the UK’s top art schools. So if you’ve ever wondered what design students produce in the UK, now’s your chance to find out. Students were tasked with creating a 12-inch vinyl record cover corresponding to the soundscape created to represent the 55 colors of GF Smith’s signature Colorplan paper: expect beautiful results!

The event will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg: 66 N 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11211. Doors open at 6 p.m., and speeches will begin at 7:15 p.m. This is a seated event, so arrive early to secure your seat and stock up on drinks in advance! Tickets are $20 + fees.
