An expert estimates that on Monday at the star-studded gala, Huma Abedin threw away diamonds worth over $500,000 – and we reported that the baubles belonged to her!

A former top adviser to Hillary Clinton is engaged to billionaire Democratic donor Alex Soros.

This week she attended the God’s Love We Deliver awards ceremony, which honored Sarah Jessica Parker. As we reported, Abedin rocked a huge diamond necklace and earrings, which Page Six sources said were hers.

“Huma’s chunky diamond hoop earrings are eye-catching,” said jewelry expert Mike Fried, CEO of Diamond Pro, when we asked for his opinion.

“The size and sparkle make them the focal point of her entire outfit – and probably the entire event. I estimate the earrings could be worth at least $300,000, but possibly more. The total value depends on the carat weight and quality of the diamonds, he said.

As for the diamond mesh necklace Abedin wore, he estimated, “Her diamond-studded necklace has an intricate design and appears to be carefully crafted. I would estimate the value of such a custom-made piece to be at least $250,000, which means that her jewelry is worth over half a million dollars in total.

When contacted about the gems on Tuesday, the political figure’s representative did not contact us.

“Now that she is engaged to Mr. Soros, there are more and more diamonds,” one of the celebrities joked at the gala, dedicated to Abedin and her main jewelry.

For the event, which was chaired by Michael Kors and Anna Wintour was honorary chairwoman, she also wore “a wool and silk derby shirt with a fitted skirt, both from the Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2025 collection.”
