A panel discussion with leading industry representatives on what it takes to run a fashion brand.

To celebrate the launch of iconic British fashion designer Keanan Duffty’s new book, we are hosting a panel discussion of fashion leaders featuring influential figures from the world of fashion, marketing and branding.

Join us on Tuesday, November 19 to hear from a panel of industry professionals, all of whom appear in Keanan’s book, who will discuss what it takes to succeed in the fashion industry.

Panel:

The discussion will be led by Hywel Davies, Dean of the M School (Fashion, Textiles, Jewelry and Materials) at CSM.

About the author:

Keanan Duffty is a British fashion designer, musician and educator, known for his bold, rebellious style. A BA Fashion graduate from Central Saint Martins, Duffty founded his fashion brand after moving to New York in 1993. He collaborated with Aveda, Dr. Martens, Reebok, Ben Sherman, Gwen Stefani and John Varvatos. Duffty dressed the Sex Pistols for a US tour in 2003, and in 2007 he collaborated with David Bowie on a collection for Target.

Duffty was the stylist for the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s 2016 tribute to Bowie, which featured Tilda Swinton and Michael C. Hall. Duffty is the author of the so-called Rebel Rebel: Anti-style and Fashion Entrepreneur.

On the education side, Duffty created and served as its founder and director of the Master of Fashion Management program at Parsons School of Design. He became dean of fashion at Istituto Marangoni Miami, and in 2024 joined the faculty of the Jimmy Iovine and Andre “Dr Dre” Young Academy at the University of Southern California.
