Las Vegas moped driver killed in pickup truck crash | Local Las Vegas

A man was shot and killed while riding a motorcycle in the south valley Thursday afternoon.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a 2015 Ram 2500 hit a 45-year-old man riding a motorcycle at the intersection of E. Mesa Verde Lane and S. Haven Street around 2:35 p.m.

Police said the motorcycle driver failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a Ram that had no traffic signs.

The motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center Trauma, where he later died, police said. He was the 127th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
