In a moving revelation, it has emerged that Nicole Scherzinger kept in touch with Liam Payne until his untimely death.

The Pussycat Dolls icon, 46 years old, famous for her role on the X Factor panel that saw Liam Payne team up with Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik to create the sensation known as One Direction, followed by her initial suspicion to unite the boys in a group. Her consistent communication with Liam was highlighted following his tragic death in Argentina on October 16, as the waves of tributes continued.

Scherzinger’s bond with Payne remained strong over the years, evidenced by the statement from music mogul Andrew Lloyd Webber, who expressed her unwavering support until the devastating day. While involved in the Broadway hit ‘Sunset Blvd’.

Andrew noted to Billboard, “I guess something that hasn’t been said yet, and I guess I could say, is that of course she mentored Liam from One Direction.”

My thoughts and prayers are with your family,” said Nicole, deeply moved by the loss.

Liam was about to reunite with Nicole for a spot Netflix‘s new talent show, ‘Building The Band’, which sees the judges team up with the iconic Nicole, Destiny’s Child legend Kelly Rowland and host, Backstreet Boys’ very own AJ McLean. The show’s unique concept envisioned the formation of a musical group whose members would remain strangers until their big reveal.

Netflix revealed: “As former members of The Pussycat Dolls, Destiny’s Child, One Direction and the Backstreet Boys respectively, these hitmakers will bring their unparalleled expertise and years of personal experience to the competition.”

Filming for the series had begun and stars were spotted in Manchester perfecting their act during rehearsals. Liam himself was spotted soaking up the scene with his girlfriend, social media phenomenon Kate Cassidy, at Manchester’s Sexy Fish restaurant.
