Two teens arrested for attempted armed robbery in Northwest DC, police say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) – The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it has arrested two teenagers in connection with an attempted armed robbery that occurred in Northwest DC on Saturday evening.

Police said the victim was riding his bicycle in the 1400 block of Geranium St. on Oct. 26, around 9:40 p.m., when two suspects approached him.

The Maryland Attorney General’s Office is investigating the death of a man while in police custody in Hagerstown

One of the suspects pulled out a gun and told the victim to hand over his belongings.

The suspects left the scene without the victim’s belongings.

Police have arrested and charged a 16-year-old boy from Silver Spring, Maryland, and 18-year-old Aaron Smith, from Northwest, DC, with attempted robbery.
