Madras High Court seeks state response on PIL against Udhayanidhi Stalin wearing casual clothes during official events

The court was hearing the PIL filed by M Sathya Kumar, a lawyer, who alleged that by wearing “casual attire” like “T-shirt and jeans and casual shoes” at official events, Udhayanidhi violated the state’s own government order has violated, issued in 2019 that prescribes a formal dress code for all civil servants.

Kumar also said in his petition that the T-shirts worn by Udhayanidhi often bore the symbol of DMK.
