Jessica Chastain, Bryan Cranston and Brendan Fraser join Al Pacino in Barry Levinson’s upcoming thriller Murdera fresh look at the JFK conspiracy. Co-written by David Mamet, Levinson and Sam Bromell, the film centers on Dorothy Kilgallen (played by Chastain), a fearless media figure who delves into the mysteries surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Known as America’s first female crime reporter, Kilgallen is determined to prove that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone and risked her life while clashing with powerful forces like the CIA, FBI and the Mafia.

Levinson describes Kilgallen as “relentless and courageous” in her search for the truth, highlighting her unique access to the Warren Commission and her interviews with key figures like Jack Ruby. Combining murder mystery and noir elements, the film portrays Kilgallen’s journey as she discovers dark secrets that challenge official narratives.

Produced by Corey Large, featuring Levinson’s longtime collaborator Jason Sosnoff, Murder Filming will begin in early 2025 in Boston. Levinson expressed his excitement for an award-winning cast to bring this compelling story to life, noting that Kilgallen’s perspective on the JFK case offers a fresh, unprecedented angle.
