Ocala police respond to an attempted robbery at Paddock Mall

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Ocala police officials say an attempted robbery brought out a large police presence at the Paddock Mall.

Officers say they have set up a perimeter around the mall to prevent the robbery suspect from leaving.

They were called just before 6:30 PM on Tuesday evening.

OPD officials have not said whether it was an armed robbery or not, but say no one was injured and there is no danger to the public.
