Lincoln Crime Stoppers looking for snack thieves at the local movie theater

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects in two recent cases.

In the first case, two men are accused of helping themselves to some snacks at the South Pointe Cinema concession stand after it closed for the night. This happened in early October.

An employee says they found the wrappers scattered in the lobby and confronted them, after which they denied taking anything. The employee said he went back to review CCTV footage, and the men left with the woman in the photo below.

Lincoln Crime Stoppers said this is an example of how they go about every case reported to them, whether it’s a petty theft or a more serious crime.

In the second case, around 3 a.m. on October 23, three adults entered the NP Mart at 28th and O streets. Lincoln police say the black man (pictured below) was asked to show ID for the gaming machine but refused.

When the employee told him he couldn’t get a cash reward without ID, she said he began making threatening statements and refused to get off the slot machine or leave the store until police had to be called. He left just before police arrived, but LPD is still trying to contact him.

They say he was seen as a passenger in a blue Chevy Equinox with Woodhouse dealer license plates. LPD called Woodhouse, but they had no record of a blue Chevy Equinox having been sold recently. Lincoln Crime Stoppers believes another vehicle’s license plates may be stolen.

The other man and woman also entered the store but are not charged with any crime. LPD said they hope the additional details will lead to the person of interest being identified.
