Providence Children’s Museum launches voting program to teach civic engagement

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Children’s Museum has introduced an innovative program to introduce young children to the voting process.

The program, which runs from now until Election Day, invites children to participate in a real-world voting experience at PCM’s Maker Studio.

Children will cast their votes to decide which new stuffed animal should be added to the museum’s gift shop.

According to a press release, children will choose between a chicken, a fox and a frog, with the winning stuffed animal on display in PCM’s gift shop.

The election results will be announced on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
