‘That’s not a knife, that is a knife.”

A knife-wielding man who appeared to want to rob a store Argentina received quite a shock after the employee he allegedly threatened pulled out an even bigger knife.

Security footage shared from El Estribo Fiambreria in Cipolletti on October 31 showed a man wearing a backpack, cap and scarf entering the store and walking up to the counter.

The man then slowly pulls out a knife and appears to push his way behind the cash register before slowly walking backwards and sticking the knife back into his waistband.

The man then leaves the store when a store employee appears on the screen with an even larger knife.

Once the man left, the store employee holding the larger knife smiled as she appeared to show her colleague why the would-be thief left in such a hurry.

A representative of the store told Storyful that the employee was cutting a sandwich with a knife when the would-be robber entered.

No one was injured during the incident.
