Tim Allen and Wife Jane Hajduk Reveal the ‘New Activity’ They’re Engaging in to Keep Their Romance Alive (Exclusive)

The couple dated for five years before marrying in Colorado in October 2006

Tim Allen And Jane Hajduk have found a fitness-friendly way to keep the spark alive in their marriage.

The couple spoke to PEOPLE at the red carpet premiere of Cirque du Soleil KOOZA in Santa Monica on Thursday, October 24, where they attended with their 15-year-old daughter, Elizabeth.

When Hajduk, 58, was asked about the secret of their nearly 20-year marriage, he said she and Allen “stretch” together.

“Our new activity is stretching,” she told PEOPLE exclusively. “We’re going to a little stretch lab and then we’re going to have breakfast.”

“I can actually stand up straight,” Allen, 71, joked when asked if the stretching classes make a difference.

“It’s amazing,” Hajduk continued, noting that it “just feels like you’re doing something amazing for your body.”

The couple also said that good communication and mutual friendship are key to their relationship long-term cooperation.

“We’re talking,” Hajduk said, as Allen responded, “That’s right, we’re talking. We do. And we are good friends.”

Allen and Hajduk dated five years earlier they get married in Grand Lake, Co., on October 7, 2006.

The location was a two-hour drive from Denver, where the Home improvement star was born.

Allen’s rep told PEOPLE at the time that the only guests at the intimate outdoor ceremony were the couple’s family, including Allen’s daughter. Katharina Dick.

She is from Allen’s previous marriage to his college sweetheart, Laura Deibel. (The two were married from 1984 to 1999 and finalized their divorce in 2003.)
