3 Days Until Election 2024: Last Weekend of Early Voting in Michigan

MLive is counting down the days until the November 2024 elections. Here’s what you need to know today.

Millions of Michigan voters have already cast ballots ahead of the Nov. 5 presidential election, as the state enters the final weekend of early voting.

With 1.8 million returned ballots and nearly 737,000 people voting in person at early voting centers on Oct. 31, that equated to nearly 36% turnout so far among the state’s actively registered voters, according to the secretary of state’s report of Foreign Affairs. online voting dashboard.

Early voting centers in communities across the state are now open for two more days: Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3.

As voters make their choices, presidential candidates continue to campaign in Michigan. Republican Donald Trump attended Macomb Community College on Friday where he called himself the “candidate of peace” and promised to end the “migrant invasion” of America and launch the “largest deportation program in American history” and “ban all sanctuary cities.”

Democrat Kamala Harris, who told a crowd in Ann Arbor earlier this week that fear and division have characterized American politics for a decade because of Trump, is now will share her message Sunday at Michigan State University.
