‘DTF St. Louis’ Dark Comedy series starring Jason Bateman and David Harbor, ordered by HBO

Jason Bateman And David Haven are set to star in a new love triangle drama.

The critically acclaimed actors of Ozark And Stranger things will headline one HBO limited series titled DTF St. Louis. This seven-episode project was created and produced by Steven Conradknown for his work on Miracle And Patriot for Prime Video. Both Bateman and Harbor will also serve as executive producers.

Francesca Orsi, HBO Executive Vice President of Programming, expressed her excitement about the collaboration, saying: “We are incredibly excited to be working with the visionary Steve Conrad, whose unique storytelling perspective is at the heart of all his projects. With the immense talent of David Harbor and Jason Bateman leading the series, we are eager to embark on this journey and share this gripping, emotionally charged story with audiences.”

HBO describes DTF St. Louis as a dark comedy “about a love triangle between three adults who experience a middle-aged malaise that leads to the death of one of them.”

This series has been in development for over two years, initially called The murder trial of my dentistinspired by a 2017 New Yorker article by James Lasdun. While Haven and Pedro Pascal were initially set to star, Pascal has since stepped back and the show has transformed into a more original story, although Lasdun remains an executive producer.

In addition to Conrad, the executive production team includes Bateman, Aggregate Films’ Michael Costigan, Harbor and Todd Black, Jason Blumenthaland Steve Tisch of Escape Artists, along with Molly Allen, Bruce Terris and Kristina Wenson of Bravo Axolotl, Lasdun and MGM Television.

Bateman prepares for the Netflix film Continuewhich premieres on December 13. He will also play the lead role Judas Law in the upcoming drama series Black Rabbitwhich will be released in 2025.

Harbor is expected to appear Miracle‘S Lightning strikes and the final season of Stranger thingsboth will arrive next year.
