Travis Kelce may be a beast on the court, but off it? The Chiefs tight end is the life of the party and has a hilariously entertaining reputation. On the New Heights podcast, Grotesquerie star Niecy Nash opened up about her time with Kelce on set, revealing how his culinary habits made a lasting impression.
While his brother, Jason Kelce, joked about the “diva” label often associated with the 35-year-old, Nash got candid. “I said this behind your back,” she teased, “so I’m going to say it to your face: You’re probably the nicest and greediest person I’ve ever met.” She continued, “You’re so greedy – and you’re bougie greedy,” highlighting his eclectic taste for everything from casual burgers to chef-prepared meals.
But it wasn’t just Kelce’s appetite that raised eyebrows. His culinary whims ranged from sending someone for a hamburger to saying, “My chef prepared this for me,” leaving the crew of the Grotesquerie both entertained and amazed. Nash joked about his insatiable hunger, saying, “Travis is greedy…I’m talking burgers and pasta. Only one of us has ever eaten a salad, and that was me.” (via: EssentiallySports)
Adding to the legend, Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, revealed another side of the nine-time Pro Bowl TE’s lavish lifestyle: He once went bankrupt after blowing a significant portion of his first Chiefs salary.

Travis Kelce’s $38,000 splurge

On the WIP Midday Show, Kylie shared how the three-time Super Bowl champion’s first Chiefs salary took a hit with a jaw-dropping purchase: a pair of rare Nike ‘Marty McFly’ shoes for $38,000.
“Travis came to town… with the Marty McFly shoes,” Kylie recalled, while Jason joked, “What the fuck, Travis?” about the wild costs.
In a 2021 New Heights episode, Kelce explained his obsession with Nike and Back to the Future, which led him to indulge in the self-tie kicks. He walked into his empty first apartment, dressed in Nikes and a Rolex, feeling like “the coolest guy in the world.”
But reality set in when he realized $38,000 had disappeared from his paycheck. Now Kelce laughs at his younger self as he learns to balance big paydays with smart saving.
